Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve

Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve is a Big 5 Private Game Reserve about 1 hour from Cape Town and offers you an unforgettable safari experience.

The Game Reserve does not only host Cape Town’s nearest Big 5 , but also species like blue wildebeest, giraffes, eland, the endangered bontebok, zebras, lynx, oryx and other smaller buck species including klipspringer, nyala, rhebok, steenbok and a big variety of African bird species like the endangered Black Eagle better known as the Aquila.

Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve is located  at the foot of the Brandwacht Mountains in a peaceful rustic environment surrounded by proteas and fynbos vegetation. Fairy Glen does not only offer game drives and bush safaris, but is also home to an African Khoisan Bushmen Rock Art heritage site dating back some 6000 years.

The name Fairy Glen originates from a very large dragonfly which was found from time to time in their natural habitat in the valley mountain streams, known as Fairy Glen.

There is also a restaurant which serves mostly traditional food and caters for vegetarian and vegan guests.

Guests may also stay overnight. They can choose from standard to luxury accommodation.
